Einstein's Pepperoni Pizza Bagel

Today at Einstein’s I ordered a controversial hybrid food that has taken the bagel world by storm in the last 50 years... the infamous pizza bagel. Who first had the idea to put pasta sauce, melted cheese, and spicy pepperonis on the boiled and baked delicacy? Believe it or not, it’s actually a subject of much debate, but I can’t think of one food item that more greatly represents American diversity than the half-Jewish, half-Italian hybrid. But all that is besides the point; how was this specific pizza bagel? My response: pretty good. The pizza elements complemented the bagel in an outstanding way, and while it was a little greasy for my taste, it was definitely more filling than some other bagels I’ve had. A solid quick-and-easy lunch option is Einstein’s pepperoni pizza bagel, and for all you vegetarians, it also comes in a plain cheese format as well.
